What about renewals ?

You can renew your account for the same amount, after a year of your PracticalBox activation. The domain name, hosting account and SiteBuilder license will be renewed for another year.

You will receive an e-mail from PRACTICALHOST support a month before your account expires with renewal options.

You can add more e-mail and disk space to your account. Contact sales@practicalbox.com for upgrade details.

What if I already have the design of my site ready ?

If you already have a website designed and developed, and you are ready to be online, you may still find that a PracticalBox is a much cheaper solution that buying a domain name and a hosting account from a regular hosting company. You can override the PracticalBox site builder and FTP your site online. If you developed your website using Microsoft FrontPage, we support FrontPage extensions by default.

How can I update my site ?

You have full control over your site. Since there is no software to download on your PC, you can access your account anywhere and anytime through any browser. When you activate a box, the activation e-mail contains details on how to manage your site.

When does the box expire ?

There is no expiry date. You can buy the box anytime, put it aside, and activate it whenever you are ready. The validity is 1 year starting from the day you activate the box, and not from the day you buy it.
Once you activate your box, you can build your site at your own pace. The data is stored on our server. It will only be online when you publish your site.

Can I have a database on my site ?

A PracticalBox account supports MySQL.

Is the PracticalBox multilingual ?

PracticalBox supports any language installed on your system (Arabic, Chinese, Russian etc.…) as far the body of the text is concerned. Multilingual versions of PracticalBox will be released soon.

What about media ?

You can upload mp3, movies and pictures to your site.

I really want to have a website, but I know nothing about programming ! How easy is PracticalBox to use ?

PracticalBox was created for all the people who love the internet, want to have a site, but know nothing about the process of building a website. It is a complete solution, you don't need to go through the hassle of registering a domain name, finding a hosting company or a web development firm.

I'm a small business, what is the chance for someone to have the same site as mine ? I want it to be unique !

It is true that PracticalBox is a set of ready made templates, but new templates are added periodically. Plus, there are many colors available for each template, so that gives you a wide variety to choose from ! Since you can upload your company's logo, change the pictures, edit the fonts and the colors, the possibilities to customize your site are endless. It all depends on the time you are willing to spend building it !

I already have a domain name… what do I do ?

Once you start the activation process, you will be asked if you want a new domain name or if you have an existing one. If you have one, all you have to do is change the primary and secondary name servers so that it points to our servers.
